Contractor will be setting concrete beams
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces there will be intermittent lane closures on U.S. 41 near the State Road 55 (S.R. 55) Bridge in Warren County beginning on or after Monday, October 13. The contractor will be setting concrete beams on the bridge over Big Pine Creek. Due to this bridges’ proximity to the highway there will be flagging operations on U.S. 41 causing occasional traffic stoppages.
This bridge replacement project was awarded to Davis Construction Inc. for $2.2 million. This project replaces the steel deck truss bridge originally built in 1952 with a concrete beam bridge. The roadway is scheduled to reopen on November 15 of this year.
The detour follows US 41 north to State Road 26 east to State Road 55 south. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.
