Mayor Ben Hodgin announced on Wednesday, October 30 that Trick or Treating would be extended to Friday, November 1 as well as on Halloween night due to incoming rain, snow and heavy winds.

Some faced the weather on Thursday evening but it didn’t seem like they lasted too long as the sidewalks and streets were bare of little ghost and goblins. The local inside events were still a hit on Halloween night including the frightful, heart jumping haunted City Hall put on by the Hartford City Police Department.

Come Friday evening the streets were filled with happy trick or treaters, knocking on doors and being greeted by their neighbors with smiles and handfuls of candy and treats.
