The Blackford Cross Country teams ran at the Monroe Central Invite Saturday morning.  Both teams took advantage of the beautiful weather and flatter course by dropping times significantly from last week.  The boys team placed 7th of 18 teams. They were led by Brayden Roberts, Drew Caldwell and Noah Kitterman who all earned ribbons for their efforts.

The Lady Bruins finished 6th of 12 teams and were paced by Cami Caldwell, who earned a medal for her 13th place finish. She was joined by Natalie Thurman, Sami Williamson and Ruby Slentz who all went home with ribbons.

“Today was an awesome day to race! The weather and the competition were both great. Combining those uncontrollables with the kids great efforts led to nearly everyone dropping major time. Thinking back over the morning, our freshmen really stepped up today. Cami, Allie Jacobs and Donavan Osborn were big factors in our team scoring and for no longer than he has been running Eli Martin is really racing well,” Coach Caldwell observed.
