Blackford’s cross country teams turned in solid performances on a hot, humid Saturday at the South Adams Invitational.

The boys finished 5th out of 11, only 12 points back from third place.

Lincoln squeaked past host South Adams by one point to take the team title.

Three Bruins earned medals for their top 25 place finishes. Drew Caldwell ran an impressive race, finishing 6th place with a PR.  Brayden Roberts and Noah Kitterman raced well to finish 15th and 19th, respectively.

Lance Manley and Eli Martin ran close to their best times of the season to complete the team score.

The Lady Bruins finished 6th out of 10 teams. South Adams ran away with the team trophy. Cami Caldwell paced the team, earning a medal for her 11th place finish. Natalie Thurman raced with great focus today, placing second for the team. A trio of underclassman completed the team scoring. They were Sami Williamson, Ruby Slentz and Alli Jacobs.

“We came ready to compete today and both teams raced well.  As a whole, we ran mentally tough and our effort was outstanding!” commented Coach Caldwell.
