The Tri County Basketball Team will be holding a fundraiser at the Food and Fuel Marathon Gas Station, 1621 N. Walnut St., Hartford City, owned by local resident Dan Eckstein. The fundraiser will be held on Friday 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It will be a “Gas Station Attendant” style fundraiser. The boys will pump gas and wash windshields for donations.
The team recently won State and they now have a shot at Nationals in Louisville Kentucky. The donations will help cover the entry fees for Nationals and help off set some of the traveling fees for the team.
The basketball team is made up of boys from Blackford, Jay and Randolph County. The teammates consist of Luke Sandifar, Adam Moore, Liam Garringer, Gradyn Moyer, Vince Oxley, Kian Wells, Ty Neunschwander, Kam Preston, Izaiah Mangas, Trevin Dunnington and Jayce Key. The team is coached by Steve Sandifar and Eric Garringer.
