IBCA Player of the Week: Luke Brown

    Freshman Luke Brown was chosen as a IBCA Subway Player of the Week for District 2 much in part for breaking the freshmen scoring record for a single game with 48 points again Monroe Central in a 69-68 win on Saturday.

    Brown scored 72 points in the 2-0 weekend to help lift the Bruins to 7-1. Here are Brown’s stats through nine games, according to MaxPreps:

    • 264 points in 9 games for a 29.3 average

    • 77-of-150 shooting from the floor for a 51 percent average

    • 28-of-70 shooting from the 3-point arc for a 40 percent average

    • 82-of-89 shooting from the free throw line for a 92 percent average

    • 62 assists for an average of nearly 7 per game.
