The downtown Hartford City square has a new business and it is a sweet one! After serving food out of his auction house/thrift store in a designated restaurant-style area as Mike’s Menu, Mike Fisher has made the decision to open a sit-down shop dedicated to just food. Fisher says he enjoys this type of business and is excited to offer it to the community.
The Sweeet Spot is located at 203 W. Washington St. with hours of operation being 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The shop can currently seat twenty guests. They also offer delivery within the Hartford City, city limits. To place an order please call (765) 730-6619.
The shop carries an array of sweets and candy from old school candy cigarettes to fresh salt water taffy, soft serve and hard dip ice cream, milkshakes, cupcakes, cookies, fudge and pie by the slice just to name a few. Sweets aren’t the only items they have to offer though. The Sweeet Spot also has a menu of sandwiches, burgers and sides as well as beverages and they’ll have Fisher’s famous ham and chicken salad for sale by the pound.
The shop is decorated with blow up ice cream cones hanging from the ceiling, lollipop decorations on the walls and a window display of painted desserts. Out front of the shop you’ll see a large waving flag that reads “ice cream” while they’re open.
