The new Blackford County Schools Assistant Superintendent, Greg Roach, was approved during last weeks school board meeting and welcomed by Phil Jones, board president.
Mr. Roach has served the last twenty-four years at Mount Vernon High School, first as the Athletic Director, then as the Assistant Principal, and finally as the Principal. Prior to going to Mount Vernon, he was a math teacher and the Athletic Director at Whitko High School.
According to Superintendent Chad Yencer’s recommendation, “Mr. Roach brings a great deal of experience in school administration, along with a tremendous work ethic to the position. He led a high performing high school as principal, instituting innovative programming while growing in enrollment. He has played an integral role in two major building projects during his tenure as an administrator at Mount Vernon, and has vast experience in supervision and leadership of classified personnel.”
