On Thursday, Dec. 1, Carol Tropf instructed a needle felt class at the Blackford County Arts Center. This class was making winter bird ornaments. The handmade ornaments turned out beautifully! They will be the perfect touch to anyone's Christmas tree. Carol Tropf is a great instructor with a passion to teach others her skills. The class had a good turn out and of all age ranges. Be sure to contact the Arts Center to ask about their upcoming classes.

This week's story/craft time at the Hartford City Library had a theme of Christmas. Some of the stories read were "Christmas in the Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder and "10 Trim the Tree'ers" by Janet Schulman. After the librarian read books to the children they then sang songs such as "My Peppermint Stick" and "Two Little Candy Canes." The craft made was a hand beaded candy ornament. The theme was the perfect start to this holiday month!

The library will be hosting a gingerbread house event on Dec. 14. Please contact the library for more information on this and other upcoming programs and events at (765) 348-1720.
